the situation

source

Well, you know how I wanted to spend part of the day yesterday reading in the coffee shop? It didn't happen because apparently all of the downtown coffee shops are packed around lunchtime. Which seems rather obvious in retrospect... I guess I'll just have to time it better next time.

And I might as well mention it: The real reason I wanted to spend time in a coffee shop is so that I could get out of the apartment. Super long story short: we're having roommate issues and I just need to get away and not be holed up in my bedroom all the time. I realize the living room is a communal living space, but it would be nice if a certain someone wasn't always using it as her personal workspace so that I could get a chance to enjoy the rest of my apartment for once. (On top of that, she's a real idiot who lacks all common sense and needs things to be told and explained to her as if we're her parents.)

Yeah. Super long story short...

Oh no... sorry to hear about your roommate issues. I was in a situation like that once, and I did exactly the same thing (stayed in my room, or escaped to places other than the apartment). I hope it gets resolved for you!

Oh I don't envy you.... I've had a few shared-house Un-Fun experiences in my time too...
Awful to feel uncomfortable in your own home! I hope it get's resolved for you soon.

I hope it gets better soon - I went through that back in college. She would let her boyfriend come in at all hours of the night.....and worst of all...he would bring reallly loud friends with him....

Hang in there! (Love your blog btw!)
