"I am half sick of shadows," said
The Lady of Shalott"
- Alfred Lord Tennyson
"The Lady of Shalott" by John William Waterhouse is by far my favorite painting ever. I can't rightly explain why, it just is. My favorite part of the movie V for Vendetta was the original hanging in V's home.
(And just so you know, I really adore all of Waterhouse's work...)

I am more excited that you like the movie "V For Vendetta". :) It's one of my favorites!
I've always loved this painting, it captured my imagination for this poem when I was in school. And V for Vendetta was fantastic also. I loved how they had her come out of the dungeon like a monk.
