weekend recap

I know it's only Sunday, and I usually don't write on here on the weekends, but I had to share a few things:

Saturday at the festival was wonderful: I sold more than I ever have at any other festival/fair! I even talked to a couple potential clients and some people who would like to take photography classes from me as well as someone who wants me to speak about my photography at some sort of meeting! Eek, I don't think I'm much of a teacher or a speaker so I'm already a little nervous about those!

And, as if the day wasn't already going good, I came home to find a package at my doorstep from a girl I went to college with. We never really talked in school, but we've exchanged a few messages through this blog and through Facebook, so I was confused as to why she would send me something. Apparently she remembered this post of mine about wanting to try macaroons, so she sent me a sample from Pix Patisserie in Portland where she lives! Just out of the blue, for no reason except to surprise me! I still can't get over how unexpected and thoughtful it was, I don't think I've ever had anyone do something like that for me, so unexpectedly. Amazing, right?!

I really wanted to take a picture of the macaroons, but they arrived crushed and crumbled, though really really good! So the top picture is someone else's yummy pretty macaroons via flickr and the bottom is the friend who sent them to me. Thanks so much Charise!
