a weekend recap

How was your weekend? Mine was a mixture of lazy/busy:

I finished re-reading The Bell Jar (I'd read it once a long time ago, funny how I completely forgot what it was about, yet a few sentences struck out at me, jolted me, making me realize I had read them before) and started reading Contact (the book version of one of my favorite movies).

I watched Shutter Island (it was very good, though not much of a surprise: aren't there a million other mental institution/insane asylum movies that have the same twist ending?), A Woman is a Woman (some good parts, but rather boring really), Laura (very old and very good), Puccini for Beginners (such a fun, sort of quirky romantic comedy), and John and Mary (extremely well-acted and very believable).

I continued editing the pictures for a photography job I've been working on for the past few months, only to realize that I need to reshoot some of the pictures. Again. It's not a big deal, and the client understands and says she knows I'm a perfectionist. And part of me takes that as a compliment, but part of me also wonders if it's always such a good thing?

I love re-reading books! Every time I re-read a book I see things differently and discover new details.

Great photo!!
I loved Shutter Island, but I guess that was cause it wasn't all that obvious for me... I'm a bit naive when I watch movies. I am going to watch John and Mary now that you've recommended it :)

Sorry you have to re-shoot though.
