pride and prejudice

The Joe Wright version of Pride & Prejudice is one of my favorite movies. It is so beautifully filmed! But I was afraid that I wouldn't like the book since the book is all words and captures none of the sweeping locations and gorgeous light. But, I really am enjoying the book!

I'm not sure if I would've enjoyed it as much if I hadn't seen the movie, all the work is done for me: I already imagine everything the way the movie is instead of making it up in my own mind. But I don't care, because I've seen the movie so many times that reading the book is almost like watching it again, I automatically run those scenes through my head.

This is such a good book! I read a bunch of these books at one time in my life and I couldn't stop talking how they talk :)

Krystal, I totally do that too!

Love love love this book and movie. Have you ever seen the BBC six hour version with Colin Firth? He makes a much better Darcy. The scenes and videography aren't nearly as good, but the acting is superb. And they have a new version of Emma from 2009 that is much better film-wise, so maybe they'll remake Pride and Prejudice.

Oh wow, that got long. (Can you tell I love it?)
