fieldale heritage festival

This weekend I'll be participating in the annual Fieldale Heritage Festival, a festival celebrating the history of the small town of Fieldale in Southern Virginia. The festival is open to all vendors, craftsmen, artisans and historians, and this year is the first that I will be selling my photography. I've sold my work at a few shows over the past few years, offering matted prints in an assortment of sizes and a few framed works. I'm not overly successful at it, but I always sell at least a few items. With the way the economy is right now, I figure the last thing that people want to spend their hard-earned money on is artwork. So for this festival I decided to do something different! Along with the usual matted prints, I will be offering post cards and greeting card sets, as well as a collection of framed and unframed ACEOs, giving customers less expensive options.

I am extremely excited with how the post cards and greeting cards came out, as I'd never had any printed before! The post cards have a gorgeous matte finish, almost like velvet, and they turned out so beautiful I wanted to cry when I first saw them! I kind of want to keep them all for myself...

I'm really excited to see how they sell. I've never sold this much of an assortment of things, and I'm hoping that it does well!
