elmwood

source

For a few days every summer, Amy Merrick leaves Brooklyn and returns to Elmwood, her family's ancient summer house that resides on a secluded pond in New Hampshire. Words cannot express how much I wish I had my own Elmwood to return to... To spend a few days living a simple kind of life: gathering flowers, picking berries, wandering fields, canoeing at dusk. But perhaps her pictures will do the job...

PS. How amazing is the light in these photographs?!

I would love to go somewhere like this in the Summer, escape for a few weeks!

I wish I had an Elmwood, too! These photographs are gorgeous. They look like film stills.

The light in some of the pictures reminds me of the blue light you described in your post about the twilight... ya know, I've been thinking about that post ever since you wrote it...
