I just finished watching the movie Cashback on my Netflix instant play. The synopsis may sound a little odd:
"After breaking up with his girlfriend, aspiring artist Ben Willis develops insomnia and takes a night-shift job at a supermarket to pass the hours. He soon discovers that he can freeze time and begins fantasizing about pretty checkout clerk Sharon. When he's not dreaming of Sharon - who may hold the key to resolving his sleeplessness - Ben roams the aisles disrobing beautiful customers and sketching them."
But I've come to the conclusion that it's one of the best (and most original) movies I've seen in a while! It really is something special...

After watching it I did a little research and found that it actually started as an 18-minute short that was Academy Award-nominated for the Live Action Short Film category in 2006. It was then made into a full feature-length film. And I'm so glad! The entire movie is good, though the part that struck out at me most was what ended up being the original short film. It was definitely the magical part.
I highly highly recommend watching this entire movie! But if you want, you can view the short right here.
