the sound of love

1, 2, 3

As most of you already know, my fiancé and I currently live on opposite sides of the country: I'm in Virginia and he's in California. We've been doing the long distance thing for a little over four years and, needless to say, we talk on the phone every single day. Sometimes we have lots to talk about, sometimes all we say is "I love you." But when there's nothing more to say, this is how our conversations end (yeah, we're one of those couples...):

Me: Well, that's all I've got...
Him: Me, too...

Me: I love you.
Him: I love you.

Me: I love you a LOT.
Him: I love YOU a lot.

Me: Miss you.
Him: Miss you.

Me: Okay...
Him: Okay.

Me: Good night.
Him: Good night. Sleep sweet.
Me: You, too.

Him: Love you.
Me: Love you, bye.
Him: Love you, bye.

Me: Bye.

Him: Bye.

That is so familiar. My fiance travels and some days we just talk and talk. And then there are those days we have that exact conversation. xoxo
